Daniel L. Bedard, CPA
Dan founded the firm after having worked for a large regional firm and a local firm in Connecticut. He has numerous years of experience providing services to a wide range of privately held businesses in a multitude of sectors as well as individuals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The University of Connecticut.
Dan is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Trustees at the Connecticut Community Foundation which is a public charity that helps to improve the quality of life for people in their local towns. The foundation ensures that grants are good for the community, are made to nonprofit organizations and scholarships awarded to worthy students. Dan is also a Corporator for Newtown Savings Bank.
Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also has Series 7 – General Securities Representative and Series 66 – NASAA-Uniform Combined State Exam Licenses and is a licensed life insurance producer. During his time at the University of Connecticut, he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. Dan served four years of active duty in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer.
Dan spends his spare time playing golf, traveling and enjoying outdoor activities. He currently resides in Southbury, Connecticut with his wife Janine and their two dogs, Jeter and Judge. He has two sons, one who is working in the public accounting field and another who is pursuing a degree in accounting at James Madison University.
Eileen A. Cornacchia, CPA
Eileen Cornacchia has been working in public accounting for over twenty-five years and has been with Bedard & Company, PC for numerous years. Eileen works with numerous small business, individuals, non-profits, trust and estates to assist with financial reporting, accounting, tax planning and compliance.
Eileen received a BS degree from Providence College in Health Care Administration and a MBA from the University of Connecticut with a specialization in Accounting. Eileen holds a certified public accounting license in Connecticut and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Eileen also has Series 6 and 63 licenses in the State of Connecticut.
Eileen has been actively involved in a number of non-profit organizations over the years including Connecticut Accounting Aid and Services, Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, Girl Scouts, LISA, Naugatuck Youth Soccer, St. Francis – St. Hedwig School, and Saint Francis School Foundation.
Eileen currently resides in Naugatuck with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Peter Belmont, CPA
Peter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The University of Connecticut. He started his career with one of the national accounting firms, and has had both public and private sector experience. Peter served as the Chief Financial Officer for a privately held general contractor for fifteen years, responsible for all financial and administrative aspects of the firm, before re-entering the public accounting sector.
Peter is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors at The St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, which is an organization dedicated to eliminating the root causes of homelessness in the greater Waterbury area. He is a past Board member of the Southbury Middlebury Youth and Family Services, and the past chairman of the Mustard Seed Committee at Sacred Heart church in Southbury.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also has Series 7 – General Securities Representative and Series 66 – NASAA-Uniform Combined State Exam Licenses.
Peter currently resides in Southbury with his wife Kris and their two daughters.
Michelle M. Schreyer
Michelle has over many years of accounting and finance experience in both private industry and public accounting. Prior to Bedard & Company, PC, Michelle spent over 12 years at Acme United Corporation, a publicly traded company, where she focused on financial reporting, budgeting, inventory costing, documentation of internal controls, corporate taxes, human resource and payroll administration, as well as various other areas of general accounting for this international distribution company. She also assisted with the due diligence of corporate acquisitions. Her experience in public accounting includes the auditing and reviews of manufacturing, distribution and construction companies as well as individual and corporate taxation.
She is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting, graduating with honors. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants
Michelle resides locally with her husband, Tom and two children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, travelling and attending local fall fairs. She also hopes to travel cross country and visit Italy.
Tanya F. Fonte
Tanya joined Bedard & Company, PC as a Senior Accountant and with 9 years of experience in public accounting, she provides tax and accounting services to a wide range of privately held businesses in various industries. Her skills include tax preparation for individuals and businesses, financial reporting, bookkeeping and tax planning. She is our go to person for QuickBooks training and implementation.
She received her Bachelors of Arts and MBA in Accounting at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, graduating with honors. Tanya is also a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also fluent in Italian.
Tanya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, the beach and basically doing anything outdoors. She currently resides locally with her husband Paul and two children
Melissa J. Duffy
Melissa works with many of our business clients and provides administrative and customer support for the firm.
Melissa lives locally and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending festivals, and many outdoors activities; gardening, camping, hiking, canoeing, and snowboarding
Jackie L. Korzon
Jackie provides client services and administrative support functions for Bedard & Company, PC. She plays a key role in the day to day operations of the firm.
Jackie lives locally and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, the beach and live outdoor music. Her favorite vacation spot is the Florida Keys and she hopes to visit Santorini, Greece.
Elizabeth joined Bedard & Company, PC as an Operations Assistant. Elizabeth provides client services support and performs a variety of administrative support functions for the firm. Elizabeth graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Regent University.
Elizabeth resides locally with her three daughters. While pursuing her Series 7 license, Elizabeth enjoys competing in half marathons and other running events, traveling, spending time with family and friends and her favorite place is the beach.
Kaylee joined Bedard & Company, PC. as an intern to experience the environment and procedures of a CPA firm. Her duties for Bedard & Company, PC. consist of tax preparation, tax processing, and administrative support for the firm. She is currently studying Accounting and Finance at Western Connecticut State University, and will eventually go for her CPA Certification.
Kaylee is currently serving the military in the Connecticut National Guard in a Military Police unit and has her Private Pilot License. In her spare time, she enjoys doing crossfit, outdoor activities, traveling, reading, relaxing at beaches, and spending time with family and friends.
